Random Happenings + SNOWPACOLYPSE 2.0

Angela has learned to pull wipes out. Aaaaaand the wipes will never be safe again.

Double Airplane

I learnes to make steakhouse-style molasses bread and  have been learning some new vegetable sides, like this brussle sprout, pecan and craisin roast with feta on top.

Angela now climbs the stairs now, often quickly and without my aid/knowledge. It's a miracle she hasn't had any serious fall.

It snowed early this morning and we hurried to get out to play in it before it all melted

Angela was less than thrilled and insisted on being held the entire time.

Everything should be clear by this afternoon but they are forecasting more snow tomorrow night. Micah will be flying back from New Mexico late tonight and flying out to Florida tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully none of his travel will be affected. So far, Corning has hinted and Sandia has outright told him that he will be getting offers.

Angela Stands Up

Walking is right around the corner for this little chicky. This morning she stood up and took 3 steps towards Sammy without holding onto anything,

Angela Throws a Ball

Two important things documented in this video:
1.) Angela throwing a ball. I know it's wrong to compare, but it took Natalie much longer to figure that out.
2.) Natalie wearing clothing.

I would find it terrifying if a creature twice my size kept knocking me over and trying to gag me. Angela, on the other hand, finds it shriek-inducing hilarious

Dog Play

Sometimes, when I see cute photos of snuggly doggies nestled up to little kids, I feel a little sad that we don't have a super cuddly dog. But then, other times, I am grateful that we have a playful dog, who is fun to torture with games of keep-away like this:

At :23, the game abruptly ended when Sammy's shock collar went off. At the time, I thought it was because he was growling loudly (which you can't hear well in the video), but watching this after the fact I wonder if Angela's shrill squeal of delight set it off....

Angela Signs "More"

Natalie is also learning a little sign language, though the alphabet is really pushing her to the limit on her fine motor skills. Which is good! N+1, right?

Pre-Christmas Cuteness

Only 2 months late sharing these. Before Christmas, I wanted to get some photos of the girls in their Christmas dresses. Soon enough I'll get to the photos and stories of Christmas Day, but for now, here's some major adorableness for you to view...

Angela's Happy Face Is Amazing

Angela and Natalie continue to love rolling around together on the ground.

Play snow that we made for preschool. Shhhh, don't tell her that the dinosaurs couldn't live in snow.

Provided hours of fun over several days. And several hours of cleanup. Haha, jk. It was actually not that bad- the main ingredient was baking soda, so it just deodorized the carpet.

My kids are nudists

Angela is so in love with this little toy. She'll sit and whack it for quite a while.

Eating a lime

Micah's meatloaf birthday cake frosted with mashed potatoes, ketchup and grape tomatoes

Angela's life revolves around trying to find opportunities to eat the dog food.

Playing tug-o-war

Figuring out table food. Self feeding is rough business.

Micah just go back from a conference and will be flying out for interviews next week and the following week. Options continue to keep coming up. It seems like Micah's skills could be useful in so many different applications and it will be a tough choice where to settle on. Talk about first world problems.... which reminds me, I've gotta go rearrange my fridge. The bacon in my deli drawer is taking up too much space; I can barely fit by brie wedge in there!
