A few adventures from before, during and after Easter weekend!
Amazing how some things that I enjoyed as a child are just as exciting to my children today
Hero
Following lots of videos on youtube to try and get some indoor exercise
We don't really *NEED* any more chickens, but after a week, I am so glad that we got these birds! They have been a very welcome diversion for the kids.
The secret to dying nice, richly colored eggs?
Start with brown and green eggs!
Schooling
Yoga
Nature walk. With all the parks closed I'm glad that we have a nature sanctuary nearby to visit when it's not too hot out!
Every single day after naptime, Emily watches Frozen. She wears such an expression of interest and excitement when she watches it that we don't have the heart to deprive her of this singular joy.
Weirdo
We're all going a little crazy here. I am often anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated and exhausted. Sometimes scared.
Also, there is a lot to love about this slower pace and I am feeling super grateful for many of the blessings in my life. Small things that I get to do bring me so much satisfaction.
And I'm learning to accept that both of those sets of feelings can exist within me simultaneously and that's okay.
